The Really Wild Club have some advice for helping birds to find the right nesting materials. Collect together materials such as dry hay, dried moss, scraps of knitting wool cut into short pieces, cat and dog combings, carpet fluff, sheep's wool and chicken feathers. Put them all in a bag such as the bag that oranges come in, with one or two sticks for perches and hang the bag from a strong tree.
On the ground put a tray and fill the tray with wet mud. This will enable the birds to stick the materials together to make strong nests.
Next week the group are planting and making paper plant pots again.
The Eco Council have meetings regularly in school and Mrs Crozier makes sure that everyone gets to the meeting and has their chance to air their views.
